The sun finally came out during a successful Charity Car Show in downtown Chenoa Sunday.

All of the proceeds raised were donated to three charities, including the A.I.R. Special Olympics program in Pontiac, the HALO program for students with autism at Heartland College and the Live Like Roo foundation of Chicago.

Organizer Carrie Holzhauer was pleased with the turnout which included around 50 cars and various awards were presented at the conclusion of the show from the gazebo.

In addition to the car show, the Finish Line bar held a second anniversary bash featuring drawings for passes to Tailgates & Tallboys, the weekly Sunday drawing for $100, dart tournament and a free jukebox all day with drink specials.

The “Chenoa Car Shows” has a group on Facebook. Holzhauer can be reached at chenoacarshows@gmail.com.
