A fun Saturday is planned in town this weekend (Dec. 10) as youngsters can enjoy a drive-thru visit with Santa and shop for Christmas gifts.
The Chenoa Women's Club sponsors the annual visit with Santa from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Chenoa Methodist Church Portico on the north side of the building. Children ages infant through fourth grade are welcome to come and visit with Santa from the car and receive a gift bag. Parents are welcome to take photos.
Meanwhile, Chenoa firefighters and their families will help children shop for their parents from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the fire station on Route 24. Any child from three to 12 will be escorted into the shopping area by a fireman or police officer to pick out a gift. Items will be wrapped before the kids rejoin their parents.
There is no charge for children to participate in the kids Christmas Corner with Chenoa firefighters but donations are accepted to help the event continue in the future.
