Brenda L. Lucus, 68, passed away at 9:37 am, on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at OSF Center for Health, Streator.
Cremation rites have been accorded with a memorial service at 12:00 noon, Friday, March 28th, 2025 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. Burial will follow the service in Chenoa Township Cemetery, Chenoa.
Visitation will be 10 am to 12 noon on Friday prior to the service also at the funeral home in Chenoa. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family of Brenda L. Lucus.
Mrs. Lucus was born August 26, 1956 in Pontiac; a daughter to Warren “Rab” and Mary (Schott) Mason. She married Jeffery Lucus on August 3, 1991 in Chenoa. Her husband, Jeffery survives in Blackstone. Her parents preceded her in death.
Other survivors include one son, Brandon (Jenni) Mason of Lexington; one brother, Myron (Margie) Mason of Eugene, OR; a very special granddaughter, Jazmyn Mason of Lexington; and nieces, Shay, Coty, Kelli, and Niki.
Brenda enjoyed listening to music and had a deep affection for animals. She raised several different “Boxer” based dogs through the years but “Zeus” was her favorite. She also enjoyed shopping but above all else she loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Jazmyn. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
