Paul David Kauffman, 77, passed away on December 20, 2024, at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
Mr. Kauffman was born September 12, 1947; a son to Paul F. and Genevieve (Stockum)Kauffman. His parents preceded him in death.
David grew up in Chenoa, Illinois, where he spent his formative years. David built a career in the auto body industry, a field that reflected his passion for craftsmanship and automobiles. Outside of work, he found joy in hobbies that brought him closer to the outdoors and the thrill of speed. He had a deep appreciation for old cars and was an avid participant in dirt track racing in Fairbury. His love for adventure extended to water skiing, camping, and snowmobiling—activities that brought him happiness and lasting memories.
David is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Jason) Curl of Lodi, CA; his son Joel Kauffman of Pontiac; and his brother Bill (Linda)Kauffman. He also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Jacob Curl, Kylie Curl, and Genevieve Kauffman; two nieces, Lauren Luckett and Courtney Clifford; and his dedicated and dear friend Michelle Brand.
Services to honor David’s life will be announced at a later date. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
David will be remembered for his love of family, friends, and the pursuits that brought him joy. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
