Harrison nursing scholarship offered

A nursing scholarship is available in memory of Juanita Harrison, lifelong resident of Chenoa. This scholarship, offered by the family and friends of Mrs. Harrison, is for a student who will complete at least their first year of a nursing program this spring. 

Applications are available through Chenoa Women’s Club by contacting jshier@frontier.com for the application. The due date for the application is March 31, 2025.

The $3,000 scholarship honors Mrs. Harrison for her many years as a nurse. Consideration will be given to the applicant who demonstrates a commitment to the field of nursing, a connection to Chenoa, and need of monies to continue schooling. 

Mrs. Harrison was a member of Chenoa Women’s Club. Her career encompassed many types of nursing including a private duty nurse, a volunteer giving immunizations in local schools, an EKG technician in the cardio department at a local hospital, and as an EMT in Chenoa.
