The canvas art class held by Cheryl Gowens-Clark at the Chenoa Baptist Church in October was such a success that she is coming again December 2 for TWO classes!
The 10:00 AM session is for kids and adults who will paint the Grinch’s hand holding an ornament. The cost is $10 for children (recommended age 8-14) and $35 for adults. It will not be required that a child be accompanied by an adult. However, adults are welcome to enjoy this activity together with the child by helping them paint or painting their own picture.
The afternoon session for adults will start at 1:00 PM. The painting will be of a truck with a Christmas tree in back for a cost of $35. Your canvas, the use of all paints, brushes, and easel, along with Cheryl's personal instructions are included in the cost. The canvas will have a stencil on it so no previous experience is necessary. Cheryl will walk you through each step and each color as you create your very own masterpiece!
Cheryl started painting when she was 8. Her friend would get mad because she would rather watch her friend’s mother paint ceramics in the kitchen than play. One day her friend’s mother had an extra ceramic piece for Cheryl. It was a horse! She was hooked and has been painting ever since. She has worked for Sundance Products painting ceramic Indian statues for a living. She loves when people are courageous enough to try something new and explore their creative side.
Class sizes are limited! Please call Colleen Evans at 815-419-8631 for more information and to register for this event!
